Ohio's Oldest Hotel - Owned by Senator, Haunted
Lebanon, Ohio
The Golden Lamb has been in business since 1803 and in its current structure since 1815 -- it is Ohio's oldest hotel. There are 18 rooms available for guest reservations and several rooms set up as permanent museum exhibits of hotel life in bygone days. A room on the fourth floor is said to be haunted by Sarah, dead since 1957; she materializes as a young girl, near a glass-enclosed child's bed and toys.
The hotel and restaurant is owned by Ohio Senator Rob Portman and his family. The rooms are named after 12 US Presidents, including J. Q. Adams, Bush, Grant, Garfield, McKinley, Taft and other famous guests.
