Large Frying Pan

Tellico Plains, Tennessee

A black iron skillet, displayed upright with its handle down and pan up. Big, not huge, maybe six feet tall. There's no obvious reason why it's outside a gas station. The owner of the mini-mart knew nothing about it, and seemed surprised when we pointed out that it was there. The skillet appears to be permanently mounted; its frying days are done.
