Cavorting in Moonlight Mural (Gone)

Field review by the editors.

Santa Cruz, California

A painted wall mural depicts what may be a nightly local ritual: a procession of characters holding hands and skipping along the moonlit Santa Cruz beach. The silhouetted figures include a spike-haired punk and a person in a wheelchair (floating just above the sand).

A label on the work indicates it was created in 1997 by P. Bartczack, with Martin Turner and B. Anna Pederico.
