House of Frankenstein
Niagara Falls, Ontario
A building on the busy Clifton Hill strip is shared by a long-lived tourist fright attraction and an American fast food restaurant. A giant, bright green Frankenstein's monster erupts from the building roof, bound in chains. The creature grimaces as he muscles closer to the Double Whopper clutched in his left hand.
Inside, the House of Frankenstein and Burger King have separate entrances and go their separate ways. Burger King is the relative newcomer (we recall seeing the burger-clutching monster in 2001) while House of Frankenstein dates back to the 1960s, transforming over time to keep its creature theme relevant for new generations of Niagara Falls revelers. Live actors leap out in the pitch black corridors of the dark attraction. A small theater loops the original Frankenstein film.
