Grave of Abraham Zapruder: He Filmed JFK's Assassination
Dallas, Texas
Abraham Zapruder was an obscure manufacturer of ladies' dresses when he left his office with his Bell and Howell 8mm home movie camera on November 22, 1963, and walked one block to Dealey Plaza, hoping to film President Kennedy as he passed by in his motorcade. His shaky footage of the assassination was only 486 frames long -- less than 27 seconds -- but it was enough to make Zapruder's name immortal. He died in 1970, but you can visit his grave.
The camera is locked away in the National Archives.
