Muffler Man - Paul Bunyan No. 2

A previously unreported Paul Bunyan Muffler Man was acquired by Bruce Kennedy at Bell Plastics, Hayward, California in November 2013. He also nabbed a 12-ft. tall fiberglass Santa Claus. According to Bruce: "Paul and Santa came from Paramount, CA. Paul came with a fiberglass axe, wood saw and wood hammer. Both need a lot of work. Paul had been for sale for a long time; I just had a hard time finding the owner."

The figures date back to the earliest days of International Fiberglass. Bruce writes: "The seller's grandfather bought three Santas in 1961 from I.F., and the Bunyan in 1962. (I got the last Santa)."

Bruce plans to restore the two statues for outdoor display at his business. "Both have an appointment at the beauty shop after the New Year."
