Lucy Vitameatavegamin Mural

Field review by the editors.

Jamestown, New York

Beginning in 2000, the father-son team of Gary Peters and Gary Peters Jr. began painting giant murals on the outside walls of Jamestown buildings, each honoring a specific favorite episode of the TV series I Love Lucy. In keeping with its 1950s aesthetic, all of the murals were in black and white.

The Vitameatavegamin mural celebrates the commercial Lucy made for that fictitious medicinal product in season 1, episode #31 of I Love Lucy -- her typical disastrous scheme to get on husband Ricky Ricardo's program.
