Death Gun of Bonnie Parker
Huntsville, Texas
Bonnie and Clyde spent most of their brief outlaw career on the run from the law, and were notorious for always traveling with lots of guns in their car. This particular gun, a nickel-plated Colt .45, was found in Bonnie's lap after she and Clyde had been shot to shreds (in their car) by a posse of six lawmen. One of the lawmen took the gun, gave it to his boss (who was also the boss of the Texas penitentiary), and he in turn donated it to the Texas Prison Museum.
Bonnie had another gun on her when she died: a snub-nose .38 revolver, taped to her inner thigh. It was sold in 2012 to a private collector for over a quarter-million dollars.
