Hot Springs, Arkansas

A two-headed turtle, a Merman (joining an older Merman in Hot Springs), a sailing ship model made by prisoners who used their own hair for the rigging... these are some of the 300 items displayed by magician Maxwell Blade in his Odditorium and Curiosities Museum. The museum occupies a former mortuary with a drive-thru window for mourners in a hurry -- which Maxwell has thoughtfully preserved as an exhibit.

There's also a collection of magician props and historical items, and "Felix the Cat" -- a real cat who was accidentally mummified when caught outdoors in a Kansas blizzard. Maxwell acquired him from his original owners.
