Your Essential Magnificence: Stick-Your-Head-Here Photo Op

Picture your face atop a glittery mosaic multi-tentacled cosmic spider. Officially titled, "Your Essential Magnificence," it was created by James Edward Talbot, who spent 2,100 hours building a weird Austin folk-artsy version of the classic roadside stick-your-head-in-a-plywood-hole photo op. Using copious amounts of cement and colorful tile, Talbot made what he called, "a weird icon in the finest South Austin tradition." It was unveiled September 10, 2011.
