Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" House
Long Branch, New Jersey
25-year-old Bruce Springteen lived in a tiny Jersey Shore bungalow while he wrote all eight songs for his 1975 album, "Born to Run." It's still a private residence, wedged between two larger buildings, with one bathroom and a front porch that probably doubles as an open-air kitchen in the summer. It's a pilgrimage site for Bruce fans, with a pedigree that has boosted its resale value to around $300,000, but there's no plaque or historical marker.
Most passers-by don't even know it's here.
