Glenn Goode's Uniroyal Gal
Gainesville, Texas
Type: Uniroyal Gal (17 ft. tall)
Arm position: Standard
Accessories: Extra modest skirt
Glenn Goode loved his Big People -- his reception line of humongous fiberglass statues that greeted visitors to this sparsely populated section of northern Texas. Glenn died in 2015, but his collection of Muffler Men remain visible, standing on the lawn near his house and sandblasting business.
The Uniroyal Gal is especially rare, a 17-ft. tall Jackie Kennedy lookalike that once hoisted a tire at a tire store. Glenn bought her from a Wichita Falls car dealer. He made some modifications, including lengthening her optional skirt (she came in a red bikini, a look that Glenn didn't think would suit his display).
