U.S. Highway 192, within the Disney World bubble, remains prime tourism real estate, and this budget motor lodge has always found tired travelers wooed by its arsenal of sign rocketry. Over the decades the establishment changed its name, appearing as the Adventure Motel, and then the more targeted Futureland Motel.
The Futureland motel and sign were prominent in several scenes in the 2017 film "The Florida Project," starring Willem Dafoe.
The business finally shed its attractive sign ballistics (and most of its Roadsider appeal) once it became the Paradise Motel.
