20-Foot-Tall Trump Lawn Art (Gone)

Field review by the editors.

Staten Island, New York

In the 2016 presidential election, Staten Island was a haven of Donald Trump supporters in an otherwise anti-Trump New York City. So in early August 2018, someone paid Staten Island "creative patriot" Scott LoBaido to erect a 20-foot-tall 2-D Trump on their front lawn.

Trump is portrayed wearing a "POTUS 45" t-shirt, with his usual scowly-face head photoshopped onto the body of a much younger man with impossibly brawny arms. This "alternative facts" Trump hovers above a "2020" in red, white, and blue letters. It's protected by a fence, security cameras, and the watchful eyes of the neighborhood. According to LoBaido, the neighbors all love the artwork.
