McVeytown, Pennsylvania

The McVeytown Knight is the mascot of the local football team in the Juniata Valley Youth League, and stands next to their dirt parking lot. He looks ancient -- apparently made of weather-aged bronze -- but that's an illusion; the Knight is a modern statue that arrived circa 2013. The life-size and lifelike bearded warrior sits astride a warhorse, with a shield, open-face helmet, and upraised sword.

Southwest edge of town. From US-22 turn at the playground and Idle Acres Camp Grounds sign onto Foundation Way (a dirt road). You'll see a parking lot on the left; the statue is at the far end of that parking lot.
