Atomic Cannon
Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia
The Atomic Cannon at Fort Lee's U.S. Army Ordnance Training Support Facility and Heritage Center was formerly on view to the public at the U.S. Army Ordnance Museum in Aberdeen, Maryland. When it moved to Fort Gregg-Adams (then named Fort Lee) in late 2017 it was mounted on its two "prime mover" transport trucks, making it one of only three Atomic Cannons displayed as it would have looked on the nuclear battlefield.
Unfortunately, the U.S. Army Ordnance Training Support Facility and Heritage Center is on-base and off-limits to civilians. Fortunately, it's just inside the main gate, and the Atomic Cannon is displayed outdoors, so at least people can glimpse it through the fence.
Perhaps one day the Army will open the Center to the public, or at least move the Atomic Cannon to a publicly accessible spot. For now, however, this is not a place where you can dawdle to take photos.
