Baby Burger with Goofy Face

Field review by the editors.

Manhattan, Kansas

This 1960s Baby Burger, formerly at an A&W Root Beer stand, has had her face repainted with big blue eyes, large bow lips, and the loopy expression of a pre-teen beauty pageant contestant. Stranger still, the fiberglass two-year-old now holds a mug painted to suggest alcoholic beer instead of root beer.

She's been sitting on the roof of a bar and deli since at least 2007. The fact that she's also holding a giant hamburger is probably what endeared her to her current owners. Although a Papa Burger statue would have been a better fit, we recognize that it's far more noteworthy to have a half-crocked giant baby.
