Spaceport Roswell

Opened in March 2021, Spaceport Roswell is a virtual reality attraction masquerading as a "time-shift transporter." Flight attendants wear uniforms inspired by every future space travel TV series you've ever seen and, once inside, decor is minimal, as the entertainment all takes place within your VR headsets.

After you purchase your ticket, a flight briefing is conducted on a video screen while the sci-fi pop culture references come fast and furious: schedule boards list departures for Ceti Alpha V and New Earth and inbound flights from Gallifrey and Elysium. Travelers are cautioned to "check your droids."

Visitors choose which 20-minute "experience" they prefer. The attraction debuted with a simulation of the 1947 Roswell UFO crash from the perspective of the aliens ("We offer the only way in town you can actually be at the crash site when it happened"). Visitors can also hitch a ride on Apollo 11 as astronauts Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins travel to the moon in 1969. Future experiences in development include a trip to a Martian resort in 2147, and a Christmastime "Nativity VR."
