Many-Armed MLK Memorial

Boston, Massachusetts

Officially titled "The Embrace," this bronze sculpture is 20 feet high and weighs 19 tons. It consists of four giant human arms wrapped around each other, and was inspired by a photo of Martin Luther King Jr. hugging his wife. There are no heads. Fans called the artwork "striking." Critics called it awful. Unveiled January 2023.
