Mama Shug: Shark Made of Plastic Trash

Field review by the editors.

Provincetown, Massachusetts

Created by artist Cindy Pease Roein in June 2023. "Mama Shug" is a life-size, 14-foot-long shark made of colorful washed-ashore plastic trash: cigarette lighters, sneakers, swim goggles, etc. The teeth are the broken-off tips of cheap beach umbrellas.
