Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

"Gallery Closed is always open," was the idea behind this pandemic-conceived art installation. It's a dark gray building with a couple of sidewalk-level windows. Visitors can peer through the windows to see artworks that are regularly changed. The inside gallery is lit 24/7, so the artworks are always on display. In addition, a lengthy fake "Historic Site" plaque is bolted to the building's outside wall that explains the history of the spot on which people are standing, from 600 million years ago until millions of year into the future.
