This looks to be a refreshed version of the hideous T-Rex that used to be on the west side of Vernal (I lived there 1978-1983). The old dinosaur was an awful color and usually had two or three arrows sticking from its head and neck. Glad to see it has been reborn.

P.S. The tradition of shooting arrows into the dinosaurs ended abruptly when someone put a shaft into the newly acquired models at the museum. I think the kid is still in jail.

Two very different dinosaur statues are located in Vernal, UT. One is a pink dinosaur called "Dinah" after the motel where it once was located. It's been moved to the east end of Vernal and holds a "Welcome to Vernal" sign where it once held the motel sign. A very striking statue that greets visitors to this town traveling Highway 40 from Colorado.

The other statue is of a large green T-Rex located mid-town on Highway 40 (main street). It is usually decorated with seasonal costumes (bunny ears and fuzzy tail for Easter, white beard and red/white hat for Christmas, etc.) that are very humorous and well done.
