The Giant Bear Trap does not exist. We drove Worham Road from end (Upper Worham Road) to end (Pike River Road) three times looking for it, and it's not there.

I wasn't looking for this but I came across it in front of a business along highway 41 in the Chassell area. The bear trap has either been moved to the highway location or there are two of them now. I didn't stop to ask about it and didn't make a note of exactly where I saw it, but I did take a picture.

Owner/creator Ed Sauvola sent us a tip on what he refers to as his "Tourist Trap." The sculpture of a bear trap is 32 feet wide and 9 1/2 feet tall. It sits on the front lawn of Ed's home in Chassell on Michigan's Upper Peninsula. And a bit of that legendary U.P. humor -- the Tourist Trap occasionally grips a snowmobile in its jaws.
