Yard Full of Model Airplanes

The planes are still there. Tud didn't come out; he's 86 now, but we got to talk to his daughter. We told her they're on the app!

Yard Full of Model Air Planes

I stopped by on my way to STL and met the owner of this roadside attraction. He goes by "Tud" -- Lloyd "Tud" Kohn. He was out waving to the traffic going by, and was very happy to see me when I stopped to snap some pics.

Tud loves to talk and show off his work. He welcomed me to come around and get really up close with them. If you've got time, Tud will talk your ear off. He would buy plastic model kits and then scale them up and make these out of metal from his shop. Amazingly enough, he doesn't even like the plastic model kits (He doesn't have the patience for them!). He's says he'll continue to add more as long as he feels up to it.

Tud and his aircraft.

You can see them plenty well enough by running up to his backyard fence.

Model Airplanes

A home along I-64, outside Evansville, Indiana has several large model airplanes and helicopters in the back yard. They can be seen a couple miles east of the I-164 bypass exit on I-64. Very interesting and well done.

I've noticed this many times while passing by this particular Evansville, Indiana exit. Someone has lots of big model airplanes in their yard! They are amazing to see! It looks almost like these model planes just landed in the front yard. They can be seen from the interstate.
