Don't just drive past the rooftop York Barbell guy -- take the exit and check it out! If you're into weightlifting and strongmanism, this is the place. Photos galore, trophy cases, a display of license plates torn in half, and a seemingly weightless mobile of barbells hanging from the ceiling. An open display of ring weights and kettlebells with a sign saying "Do Not Lift" was very tempting (sort of like telling a kid not to stick his hand in the cookie jar)!

At minimum, stop to see where the statue of founder Bob Hoffmann originally stood. The crumbling concrete with twisted and bent rebar look as if a he-man of old ripped it right off the pedestal!

The statue of Hoffman does rotate now. We just passed it and it's spinning right 'round, baby, right 'round.

All fans of the band Dead or Alive (circa 1985) understand your choice of words.

The York Barbell Man is rotating fully again. Cleaned up, looks like new. He's also illuminated with floodlights at night.
