Eartha: World's Largest Rotating Globe
Eartha: World's Largest Rotating Globe was having her engine tuned and surface refreshed when we visited so she was actually more like The Day the Earth Stood Still. The DeLorme people say her work will be finished by winter 2011/2012, so until then she doesn't rotate. Still a fun fun sight to see and it's free, with a nice gift shop to boot.
[Gunnar Johnson, 10/13/2011]Just want to let people know that Eartha is "under the weather" [December, 2008] There are several panels off, and the globe is NOT rotating. DeLorme employee thought it may be fixed "in a few months." Make sure you call ahead.
