We stopped by May 21, 2021, and it was closed, much to our dismay. Should have been open since it says open from April through September. Best to call ahead of your visit to make sure they are open.

[Dac Tama, 08/05/1998]September 2008: The Ball is made of string, not twine. It weighs 265 pounds and is reportedly 40 inches in diameter. We were told that a Mrs. Henry Steward spent 18 years making the ball "to maintain her sanity" after she lost a son during World War II.
