The last several times we were past gravity hill there was no sign there.

In between two hills, bout 3/4 down the slope, stop and place your vehicle in neutral just before the 25 mph sign and you will start rolling backward up the hill, gradually picking up speed. Locals have placed a sign at the appropriate spot.

Standard gravity hill precautions: Have a "spotter" get out of the car and watch for approaching traffic. Put on your safety blinkers. Attempt gravity-defying feats on public highways at your own risk!

Hwy U, Shullsburg, WI
Directions:
South of town a little over a mile, on County Hwy U (Judgement St.), about a thousand feet south of Rennick Rd. Stop and place vehicle in neutral just before the yellow 25 mph sign (there's also a mark in the road). You will start rolling backward up the hill, gradually picking up speed.
Hours:
Public road. Hazard flashers recommended. Use at your own risk. Local health policies may affect hours and access.
