The statue is still there, but is a bit harder to spot. A storage facility has been built up around it and it is is slightly overgrown with weeds. Heading north on Highway 36 from Somerville, just after you cross TX-423, look for it kneeling among several large storage containers.
[Brandon S., 06/08/2025]The kneeling Indian statue is still in Somerville. It is probably the Indian that used to be cooking over a campfire, a statue that was on top of Bill William's Restaurant on Main Street in Houston, TX.

We saw this Indian in a field north of Somerville on Highway 36 (just north of town on the west side of the road). He was in a field with an RV. No one was around to ask about him.
