The stuff is still there, but the property owners will not let you go see it.

It's been that way for many years. The only part of Storyland accessible to the public is the Pied Piper statue out by the highway.

This is the Pied Piper of Hamelin, the most visible remnant of Story Land, a kiddie park that closed in the 1980s.

Storyland - Remnants

After a successful stop at a giant coffee pot, we thought we'd check out a defunct Fairy Tale Land. Much like in an actual fairy tale, everything was all magic -- giant whales, mushroom houses, gingerbread men, and Humpty Dumpty- -- until the Big Bad Wolf arrived. Central PA's version drives a four wheeler and wears a Trump t-shirt. "CAN'T YOU READ MY SIGNS, I'M SICK OF THIS S**T!!" yelled the BBW as he revved his engine in a threatening manner towards Amy. "I OUGHTA CALL THE STATE POLICE" he roared in response to Goldilock's sassy response. In a happy ending, Hansel and Gretel escaped in an Acura as he huffed and puffed and maybe blew the shoe house down.

[Damien, 09/21/2016]

Though few children recall being read the No Trespassing fairy tales chapter, they have no one to blame but themselves if they end up baked into a pie.
