Bill Shea's Station

After being elected to the Route 66 Hall of Fame, and continuing his legacy with his gas station museum, Mr. Shea passed away on December 15, 2013.

[Jeanie M, 12/20/2013]

Bill was a few weeks' shy of 92. He had opened his museum, haphazardly at first, in 1994, and it grew in popularity with the regrowth of Route 66.

Shea's Gas Station Museum

A favorite photo stop for Route 66 travelers from around the world. Shea's is a charming and eclectic collection for over half a century of gas station memorabilia. Bill has lots of stories and is eager to share with any visitors to this truly unique spot. Bill has had visitors from over 59 countries so please make sure to sign the guestbook.
