A nice side trip. This structure is out in the middle of the corn!

What an awesome little side stop! There were no people around in a well-kept corn field, where you could get out and walk around this incredible feat from a 90 year old man. We loved it!

Perfect stop. Easily seen from the road. This is a pretty tall metal "sculpture." Large area and big enough to pull off the road.
[Russ & Annette, 07/04/2016]I used to live near the Maasdam farm. They grow sorghum and make syrup. The granddaughter of L. J. Maasdam told me that he had been collecting the wheels for years. When he decided to build the sculpture he would weld on it during the day. His kids stayed up at night and re-welded it, because he wasn't a very good welder. They never told him that they were re-doing his work.
