The Windsor Ruins
These columns were hauntingly beautiful. The Corinthian detailing was incredible, and there's a short story of the house on a plaque to give you some history.

This is a neat site off the beaten track. As someone else mentioned, there is good signage until you get close. Don't mistakenly turn into the Canemount Wildlife Management Area (as I did); the Windsor Ruins has its own wooden sign. The road is gravel. It feels very neglected (and it's eerie to be there alone), but it's still cool to visit.

So worth it! On Rodney Road. The GPS said I had arrived at my destination, but you have to keep going. In the middle of nowhere, but there is a sign.
[Ricki, 07/05/2013]We visited the ruins in October of 2011. As previously stated, use a restroom prior to your visit! Slightly hard to find as the area is heavily wooded. Worth a visit if you enjoy history, the sheer size is awe inspiring. There's a lot of trash scattered around; apparently the local kids use this area to drink and do other things... Would be a beautiful place with some landscaping and trash cleanup.
