It's now back to Downingtown Diner. They have a few Blob-related pictures on the wall, and they offer The Blob Special. I talked to the waitress, who told me the diner has been remodeled and added to, but that the basement section remains the same as it was in the movie. Sadly I didn't get to go down and confirm. Good food and friendly service though!

Unfortunate missed opportunity to make this spot fun with a prop for pictures etc., however fun nostalgic movie stop. Bonus: park across the street, stretch your legs for a few and enjoy Rita's Italian ice with the family while acquainting them with Blob movie history.
