There was a fire here in 2010 and it's been remodeled. Mister Ed was there today when I visited. A gracious and wonderful host. He lost 2,000 elephant pieces in the fire from the museum and 5,000 were donated from all over the world. Absolutely worth the stop.

As of September 2008, this place has more than 10,000 elephants! It is well worth a visit, especially if you're going to nearby Gettysburg. If you're easily tempted by sweets, just walk around the grounds and two major exhibit rooms to see the pachyderm paraphernalia. But if you're a candy or peanut lover, check out the huge room of bulk candy, the stacks of chocolate-coated foods, roasted nuts, the Pez room and many other delicious delights.
