Desert Of Maine
Cool. It literally looks like a desert, so like desert there's nothing much to see. It was obviously a waste of $10 yet the owners were very lovely, yes. Oh, and they are going to have some music concerts in the bar, which would be fun !
[Debra, 09/11/2019]We went on a cloudy, overcast day. There had been lots of rain overnight which solved the problem of blowing sand. More to see here than we thought. The gift shop is being thoroughly renovated and will have food service when complete. A great choice for when you are sick of seeing lighthouses.
[LamFam, 06/22/2019]The Desert of Maine
The Desert of Maine is still going strong, albeit a bit chilly on an October morning. A real tribute to man's folly and making lemonade out of lemons. They give you a nice half-hour guided trolley tour and a blanket to sit on. The Sand Museum and gift shop are old-fashioned tourist delights.
