The big Amish statues are gone, the hotel they sit by has been sold and the visitors bureau has not bought the statues. My kids are sad.
[renee, 06/08/2010]There is another sub-species of Amish giants in and around the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, including: an Amish couple at Roadside America in Shartlesville happily waving to traffic on I-78, Amos the famous talking Amish giant at Zinn's Diner off the Exit 21 of the Penna. Turnpike in Adamstown, the giant pie woman and child at a restaurant off I-81 in Frackville, another Amish couple standing in front of the Lancaster Holiday Inn happily waving to traffic on U.S. 30.
