Superman continues to wear his mask in support of his adopted planet's effort to combat the Covid-19 pandemic. But the statue honoring the Son of Krypton is beginning to show its age, and the Metropolis Chamber of Commerce has launched a fundraising campaign to completely restore the statue and the area around it. Hopefully ready for a June 2021 unveiling!

They didn't embrace the Metropolis thing almost at all. Just kind of dialed it in. Three okay items -- Superman, museum, kryptonite boulder -- and then nothing.

Easy access for every tourist no matter what size vehicle, directly downtown, this amazing statue sits directly across from the Superman Museum. Those with larger vehicles turn left before the statue and park in the Harrah's casino parking lot.
