Angie's place couldn't be salvaged and was demolished as of August 2009. Some locals stated that Angie was actually born on a farm near Kulm, which may have been confirmed by Angie's father, who was the town's newspaper publisher when Angie was born.
[Jillie, 06/20/2010]Building is shabby and in bad need of repair. It is in the middle of town on the main street. I talked to two citizens of Kulm and was told the building will most likely be torn down before it falls down. Angie was supposedly in town, briefly, 18 yrs ago, but only ate and left. The guy said he's been hounding the city about repairing it and using it as a tourist attraction.
Both them laughed when my daughter and I showed up, as he said they were just talking about that very thing -- TOURISTS! I thought it was interesting. My daughter had no idea who Angie Dickinson was/is.
