A plaque and memorial marks the spot where the bridge on-ramp was before it collapsed and killed 46 people. The list of names on the plaque aren't the dead; they're the city council and clerk who approved the memorial.

The memorial plaza is in the area of 6th and Main Streets. Sad story for the lives lost. Glad we stopped to pay our respects.

Very strange memorial on Point Pleasant's main drag, not far from the Mothman statue and souvenir shops. Sort of sad that you have to stand on the names of victims (engraved in paving bricks) to read the plaque, which is more or less just a list of who was in office when the plaque was made.
