Museum and Pawn Shop: Albino Bats!

Unfortunately the museum closed a couple of years ago. I am traveling with my wife from Lafayette to DFW so I called the number and the lady that answered told me the bad news. Bummer!

Oddball Collector, Albino Bats, Pawn Shop

The Robert Gentry Museum is a mixture of curiosities accumulated by a lifelong "collector," ranging from prehistoric Indian Civil War artifacts, to Marilyn Monroe and country/western memorabilia.

Gentry was the last PR man for Louisiana Governor Earl K. Long. He runs the museum and pawn shop in the same building.

"Be sure to see the two white bats that scientists say could never mate!"
