Head of the Sugar Flat Road Creature
I saw the creature's head at the Wilson County Fair in Lebanon, Tennessee, last Sunday. It was sitting on the corner of the back-of-the-old-truck stage in Fiddler's Grove. I'm not sure if he was part of the group that was pickin' and grinnin' or not.
[B. Mills, 09/02/2016]Sugar Flat Creature Head - Hologram
The head of the Sugar Flat Creature is gone, but we display a hologram of it in the shoppe.
[Amy Petulla, 08/20/2013]The Sugar Flat Road Creature Head now lives at The Little Curiosity Shoppe owned by Amy, a wonderful storyteller and talented writer. We paid a dollar each and she let us into the very tiny museum. Amy told us the story of head, the ghost photos, the two headed turtle, and the other exhibits. Her ghost tour was in our plans but we became distracted and did not get to make it. While the museum is tiny, Amy's stories fill it and more. She is eager to answer questions and make sure you leave intrigued with all of Chattanooga's legends and myths.
Amy did not mind us taking a photo of the head and she signed her book for us. We will be back again and hope she keeps adding to her collection. The museum was easy to find.
[Stephen and Melissa, 05/13/2013]The head is now located at the offices of a ghost tour company on the corner of market st and east 2nd. It cost $1 to see it but Amy does a nice job of telling the story.

I had to take a pilgrimage to see the Head of the Sugar Flat Road Monster, but I wanted to point out that while the head in the window is amazing, there is some really crazy taxidermy on the inside.
