Eight Reveilles now occupy the memorial mascot cemetery -- the most recent number VIII having passed in 2018. All still enjoy a spot close to the stadium, and a perfect view to a personal scoreboard.
[Luv2RV, 11/06/2022]Pet Cemetery, Mascots -- The graves of the dead Reveilles I-V (mostly collies) have been permanently relocated outside the north entrance to Kyle Field on the Texas A&M campus. A freshman cadet with a chalkboard providing updated game scores has given way to a miniature, electronic scoreboard to keep the dead dogs updated on the game.
[Texas Aggie Dad, 12/24/2000]The graves of Reveille the Collie I-V have been moved from their former location outside Kyle Field, Texas A&M, due to construction activity. The new construction will remove the tunnel that the former mascots used to view the scoreboard. Recently, a Corp of Cadets member has stood near the new grave site with a dry erase board updating the score for the deceased canines. There has been discussion of making this a permanent tradition.

"Mercy" informs us: "The story goes that some Aggie Corps (of the famous Corps of Cadets) members were driving down a country road and almost hit an abandoned dog. They adopted it and kept it in the dorms. When the trumpeter played the song "Reveille" to wake the Corps in the morning, the dog howeled along. Reveille has been a Corps, and A&M, tradition ever since."
