In tiny Buna, Texas, just north of Beaumont, is a house painted with purple polka dots that has been a local curiosity for years. The home's owner originally painted the dots and later opted to paint it solid but reportedly locals would sneak up in the middle of the night and the polka-dots would return. I think it houses the Buna Chamber of Commerce now. I'm not certain.
