Although not considered a planet any longer, Pluto will remain on the model.
[Aaron Tomlinson, 07/27/2009]Start your space tour here. The most distant planet in Maine's scale model of the solar system is Pluto, some 40 miles from the Sun, north on Rt. 1 in Presque Isle. Pluto is represented by a small wooden ball mounted on the wall in the Houlton Information Center. Tiny Charon is mounted right next to it.
A brochure is provided to help you find the other planets. Maine's model of the solar system was completed in June 2003.
