This place is waaaay out in the country so you have to work to get to it, but it's worth it. There are dozens of Purple Martin birdhouses and one large apartment "house." Their call is beautiful to hear. The owner ended up coming out and talked to us for a while. He said it took him a year to build the apartment. The houses are made of aircraft aluminum.
