Star Trek Spaceships Metal Sculptures

On the side of US Highway 5 there are a multitude of Star Trek spaceship sculptures.

This spot was formerly a showcase for sculptures of goofy dinosaurs and giant bugs. Evidently the metal artists have shifted their focus to The Final Frontier.

Bob's Welding

Sadly, the Route 5 location of Bob's Welding, and the awesome sculptures that were there, are gone. The area has been cleared, the building town down, and nothing is left. Maybe they moved? Or retired?

Propane Tank Art -- various sculptures.

Propane Tank Art

RA has an entry for this, except that it sort of glosses over the best part of it, talking mainly about the USS Enterprise and the Galileo Shuttle. If you are not a Star Trek fan, you might just skip it. But if you knew it had all this other propane tank art, you might feel it is worth the visit! These pieces are really awesome. In this visitor's opinion, much more interesting than the Enterprise or Galileo!

Star Trek USS Enterprise and Galileo Shuttle

As you drive down Route 5 in Lyndonville, VT you suddenly find yourself in the Final Frontier. There, flying along above Bob's Welding is the NCC-1701 USS Enterprise. Orbiting below it it the Galileo shuttlecraft. On the ground is a menagerie of other creatures and critters.
