Any parent planning to visit might want to book a visit to the chiropractor afterwards. Only tiny children can slide down Eddie's tunnels, and unfortunately the museum has disabled his flatulence. We did get a peek at South Carolina's biggest seat belt, as well as a nifty display of what happens when airbags deploy in a car.

Promoted as the World's Biggest Kid, Eddie stands 40-foot high and weighs 17.5 tons. He's the cornerstone of Columbia's Edventure Children's museum. Eddie is completely hands-on, allowing children and adults to climb through his heart, brain and stomach, and even slide out of his intestines.
I was first introduced to this larger-than-life boy on a trip to visit my husband, who was stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC before being deployed overseas. I visited the local visitors bureau in Columbia, and the ladies there gave this exhibit top marks. You need several hours to see it all -- a real welcome change from having to tell your kids "no, don't touch" everywhere you go.
