Marblehead, Ohio: Train-O-Rama (Gone)
A name that promised a dose of mid-20th century kitsch among the precision railroad models. Scale trains roared through tiny towns and mountain passes. Some plastic dinosaurs devoured golfers.

[Crystal, 07/19/2018]Train-O-Rama
If you're in Marblehead, have a half hour to kill, six bucks to blow, and a controlled but steamy hankering for train, model train that is, Train-o-rama is the place for you, your children, your life-partner, and your not so elderly parents. You don't so much need to love model trains to love Train-o-rama, but you need to know they take the train real serious around there (no touchy, touchy). The landscapes -- the roads, houses, villages, figurines, trees, etc., everything that's not a train is far less than professionally built. That's what makes this place a gem and a half, a single room full of crappy landscapes, a bunch of trains, some plastic dinosaurs devouring miniature golfers and a model train wreck or so.
