Next door to the Mining Museum is the chapter house for E. Clampus Vitus that celebrates a different aspect of mining lore. The collection of artifacts in the window is interesting, but don't forget to look up. Unfortunately, you need to be a Clamper to get inside.

[Edith, 08/23/2013]Located on the main street of the Helper, Utah, the Helper Mining and Railroad Museum extends over 4 floors in a well-maintained but old building and is most interesting. Neatly done, with some very unusual equipment on display. Mainly mining is covered, but the room covering mining safety and disasters is really moving! What a life that must have been! We learned more than we wanted to about the "company towns" and what happens to the widows and children of the miners. Outside are several rail and mining machines on display.
